Adult Learning and Service:
Bible Studies: First Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Gary T.
Ludwig, frequently sponsors small group Bible studies for adults. Recent separate and focused studies have included the Gospels of John and Luke, 1 Corinthians, as well as a Focus Group on
Bereavement. Bible studies usually meet in the evening at convenient hours and are a wonderful way to get to know other FBC family members.
Tuesday Morning Prayer Group and Bible Studies: Another opportunity for Bible study is held at 11:00 a.m. on every Tuesday morning. This
gathering focuses on studying the Bible as guided by the Lectionary. A bag lunch follows. Then the long-standing ministry of prayer support continues in the second part of the meeting. All
are welcome to attend. Click here for more information.
Thursday Evening Bible Studies: For those who find an evening opportunity to gather more convenient, a Bible Study is held at 7:30 p.m. on every Thursday
evening of the month. This gathering also focuses on studying the Bible as guided by the Lectionary.
Women’s Fellowship and Christian Studies:
This women’s group meets on the first and third Friday of each month at 11:00 a.m. The focus of the first part of the meeting is the study of current Christian literature. A
bag lunch follows. Usually a benevolent project continues during the second half. All are welcome to attend. Click here for more information.
Network:
Periodically the FBC introduces a “personal gift discern- ment” course which has enjoyed tremendous success. The goal of Network is to help
each one of us to identify our spiritual gifts and personal abilities, and how to best use those gifts in Christian servanthood.
We Are Baptists:
Periodically this seven session course is taught to reinforce the basics of American Baptist beliefs. Our intergenerational group welcomes participants, members
or non, young or old, who wish to renew their knowledge of what it means to be an American Baptist, or to explore the paths leading to Baptism and Membership.
Discussions in Faith: These discussions are casual in-home gatherings to share our
faith journeys. They are held on an independent schedule.
Good Grief Bereavement Group: A
small group ministry to help those who are journeying through the issues of bereavement.
In-home meetings:
Special study groups sometimes meet in homes to view videos, have discussions, and enjoy hospitality. These are held on an independent schedule.
All small group ministries are flexible, considering members’ calendars and times requests. Therefore, there can be fluctuation on when meetings are held.
