"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"

John 3:16

The Good News

As a Christian church we declare that we are ... "not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16*).

We recognize and understand a human condition that is universal: All people sin.  The consequence of personal sin is spiritual death.  This is the straightforward teaching of the Bible: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
(Romans 3:23)"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

There is good news: God is loving and wants to give spiritual life.  Even though as humans we sin, God continues to love us.  Motivated by love, God took action by sending his son as the Savior to the world.  "By this Gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you ... For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:2-4).

All who hear this message of hope are invited to respond.  "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"
(Romans 10:9).   A personal decision to accept Jesus as Savior comes through action.  Prayerfully, we are invited to confess our sins, asking for God’s forgiveness, through Jesus Christ as Savior, and inviting Jesus to be in our life.  Accepting Jesus starts a journey; believers are then called to tell others about their decision.  Tell a friend, a family member, or another Christian.  Active faith is deeply personal, but not private.

Most importantly, believers seek Christian fellowship.  We are not saved to ourselves, but we are saved to be joined together in fellowship and ministry within the family of God.
