Gilman House

Our church office is located in the Gilman House, which is to the right side of the church.  All administrative tasks are taken care of here, as well as many meetings and classes.  The Gilman House also serves as Pastor Ludwig's office.

Front windows

After you leave the Gilman House, walk around to the front of the church. You'll see the graceful arched windows and enter the double front doors of the church.

On Sunday morning, as you reach the top of the stairs, you'll find George  Bartlett on the top step ringing our historic steeple bell, calling all to worship.

Sanctuary
Organ

As you enter the Sanctuary, pick up your Sunday bulletin from one of our ushers.  In the front of the sanctuary the pulpit is to the left and the choir loft is on the right.  You can see the pipes of our organ behind the choir loft.  Sarah Moran, our church musician, rehearses with the choir in the photograph to the right above.

Communion Table

Pastor Ludwig (below) believes in "making a joyful noise to the Lord" and enjoys adding variety to the worship service by occasionally accompanying hymns with his  guitar.  He also leads our children when they participate in our Kids' Sing program.  Several times a year our "Kids' Sing" during worship.

Guitar

The first Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday.  We use the Church's historic communion table (above) for the celebration of the Lord's Supper.

Food Pantry

Our "helping hands" food pantry is located in the back of the sanctuary.  First  Baptist friends and families donate non-perishable food items that are later delivered to two food pantries in our area for distribution to those in need.

Stairs
Memorial Hall

After service, use the stairs (above, in front of the front door) and head downstairs to Memorial Hall for coffee and conversation.  Some of our Junior Church classes for children are also held here (photo at upper right).  There is an electric lift installed to assist mobility impaired individuals gain access from the lower level near handicapped parking to the upper sanctuary for services (photo at lower right).

Cross in window

And we hope you'll notice that there's always a glow in our windows, even when it snows!
