The First Baptist Church of Hingham responds to needs .... and our Care Package Program sent to US
Soldiers in the Middle East is one of our most important responses.
Since inception in 2005, the FBC Care Package mission initiative has grown fruitfully from being a congregational effort sponsored by our
Women’s Fellowship to a community supported event. We collect items, package and ship them to US Soldiers serving in the Middle East who have a strong Hingham or South Shore connection. To date we have
shipped over 14,500 lbs.
The program is structured around “point leaders” who receive our packages and distribute the contents to other soldiers in their unit. Click here to see our list of Point Leaders.
Bring your items often and at your leisure. There are no deadlines, and we mail your donations immediately. Drop off donations at the FBC office, to the right of the church and two doors up from the Loring
Theater in Hingham Square. After office hours, place contributions in the donation box on the porch.

If individuals prefer, financial contributions toward postage are gratefully accepted as well. Postage costs can mount up quickly. Checks can be made out to First Baptist Church Benevolence
Account, notating “Care Package Postage” in the memo line. Mail to 85 Main Street, Hingham, MA 02043. If you wish to contribute online using PayPal or credit cards, click here.
With appreciation and gratefulness,
the First Baptist Church wishes to thank and commend the generous contributors to our Care Package Program, some including: Hingham Town Hall, Plymouth River School, South Elementary School, Derby Academy,
Hingham Middle School, Hingham High School, James F. Condon School, Foster School, Cub Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, local businesses and realtors, and multitudes of individuals and even residential subdivisions
and other churches.
The intent of this initiative is to continue our outreach to US personnel in the Middle East as long as there is a war. Despite the diverse
feelings about war management, we must support and care for our soldiers.
