The Women’s Fellowship meets twice per month on the first and third Fridays at 11:00
a.m. in the Gilman House adjacent to the church. This is open to any women who want to gather together to provide opportunities for small group studies, fellowship, inspiration, and especially outreach to others.
Meetings begin with Christian studies while enjoying tea or coffee. Lessons have focused on Women of the Bible, Joel Osteen’s Become A Better You, Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life, and Christa Kinde’s Women of Faith series. Studies last approximately
one hour.
Following our studies, members enjoy a bag lunch.
After lunch, there can be a service activity before ending the meeting. The most prominent
project of the Women’s Fellowship has been the sponsorship of the Care Package initiative for our US Soldiers in the Middle East. Donations are made to our church and the WF members
organize, pack, and prepare boxes for shipment. This project will continue as long as there is a war.
Our group also helps Sharing Inc. on a regular basis. Doll outfits were made by other women of
our church and then passed on to our attention. In years past we have produced 200 dolls annually for distribution to disadvantaged children in the South for Christmas. If anyone would
like to help sew or knit doll dresses, email here for information. Supplies are furnished. To see
some of this talent, click here.
There are other projects as well as special event speakers. And there are several social events during the year such as cookouts and restaurant dining.
